Notice of Having Prepared a Draft LAP for the Killorglin Functional Area

Notice is hereby given that Kerry County Council in accordance with the provisions of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended by the Planning & Development (Amendment) Act 2002), has prepared a Draft Local Area Plan for the Settlements and Rural Area in the KILLORGLIN Functional Area. The settlements included in the Draft Plan are as follows:-
Killorglin
Glenbeigh
Cromane
Glencar
Kilgobnet
Rossbeigh
The Killorglin Functional Area Draft Local Area Plan is accompanied by an Environmental Report which has been prepared in accordance with the Planning & Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 and a Habitat Directive Assessment.
Copies of the Killorglin Functional Area Draft Local Area Plan, Environmental Report and Habitat Directive Assessment may be inspected at the locations listed hereunder, during normal office hours from, Wednesday, 10th February 2010 to Thursday 25th March 2010:
• Planning Department, Room 13, Kerry County Council, County Buildings, Rathass, Tralee
• Kerry County Council Offices, The Library, Killorglin
and are also available for inspection on the Kerry County Council internet site www.kerrycoco.ie
Copies of the Killorglin Functional Area Draft Local Area Plan, Environmental Report and Habitat Directive Assessment may be purchased at the offices of the Planning Department, Kerry County Council, County Buildings, Tralee (Phone 066-7161801).
Observations and submissions in respect of the proposed Plan, Environmental Report and Habitat Directive Assessment should be made in writing and addressed to;
Noelle O’Connor, Planning Policy Unit, Planning Department, Kerry County Council, Áras an Chontae, Tralee and marked 'Submission on – Killorglin Functional Area Draft Local Area Plan'.
Observations and submissions must be submitted before 4.00 p.m. on Thursday, 25th March 2010, and will be taken into consideration before the making of the Plan.
