A photographic exhibition which has as its theme, the events, the artists and the audiences as featured in our programme of events for 2011.

Wed 4th -  Sun 8th      Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs - The Listowel Pantomime Group returns with the best of family entertainment and comedy. 

The cast features Aideen O’Conor, James O’ Flaherty, Gearoid O’Connor, Mairead Fitzmaurice, Danny Russell, John Looney, Tina Enright and Lal Browne.  Also featuring are The Listowel Folk Group/Choir plus special guests and the youth group featuring chorus, dancers, musicians and actors. 

Nightly Wed – Sat @ 7.30pm.  Matinees on Fri and Sun @ 2.30pm.  Tickets: Adults €10, Children €6.  Also family tickets.

Tues 10th      Best Of Irish 2010 – Film Club

Ten of the best Irish Shorts from The Kerry Film Festival 2010.  Films featured are:  Getting Air, Runners, Cold Turkey,The Pool, Noreen, Moore St Masala, Bye Bye Now, Christmas Swim, Crossword and Dun Chaoin.  In association with Access Cinema.

Wed 11th       The Carrivick Sisters.

The best of American Country and Bluegrass presented by sisters Laura and Charlotte on Guitar, Mandolin, Clawhammer Banjo, Fiddle, Dobro Cello and Vocals.

Mon 16th       The Snow Queen / Jack And The Beanstalk

A St. Johns Childrens Theatre Production.  Directed by Deirdre O’Halloran.

Tues 17th      The Skin I Live In – Film Club

Directed by Pedro Almodovar – Spain, the cast features Antonio Banderas, Elena Anaya and Marisa Panedes.  Ever since his wife was burned in a car crash, Dr Robert Ledgand, an eminent plastic surgeon, has been interested in creating a new skin with which he could have saved her.

One of Irelands most popular comedians and street entertainers, he is a regular guest on TV and radio shows in Ireland and comedy festivals worldwide.  In 2009 he devised, wrote and starred in the six part TV series, The Savage Eye on RTE.

Tues 24th -  Fri 27th    Kids Want To Drum

Kieran Gallagher of Kada Kaboom Arts presents an outreach series of Drumming/Percussion/Music appreciation workshops for 10 local schools.

Wed 25th       Sarah Savoy And The Francadians

A top four-piece Cajun dance band from Louisiana playing Country & Bluegrass on Fiddle, Base, Guitar, Button Accordion, Washboard and Saxaphone.  The band is fronted by Sarah, “the self styled queen of white trash Cajun”.

Thurs 26th      Shortcut To Hallelujah

A hysterical drama set during the run up to the Mayo/Kerry All-Ireland Football Final.  Rumours begin to surface of a curse on the Mayo team and this, combined with a landgrabbing incident, spells trouble for Eimear, the tragic fiancé.

The play was written by Mick Donnellan and is presented by Truman Town Theatre, Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo.

Sat 28th            Many Young Men Of Twenty

John B Keane’s classic play on poverty, love and emigration in Ireland in the 1950’s.  Presented by Feohanagh/Castlemahon Players, Limerick
