Structures at Risk Fund 2018

Applications Invited

The Department of Culture, Heritage, and the Gaeltacht has announced the Structures at Risk Fund for 2018 with a total (countrywide) fund available of €1.324 million.

The purpose of the SRF is to assist with works to safeguard structures included in the Record of Protected Structures and structures which contribute to the character of Architectural Conservation Areas.

Only structures or parts of structures in immediate danger of significant deterioration will qualify for consideration for funding by the Department.

The total value of available funding shall not exceed 80% of the total project cost.

The minimum level of funding available under the SRF will be €15,000 up to a maximum grant of €30,000.

The minimum level of funding available under the SRF for a project submitted in respect of a historic house in private ownership will be €5,000 up to a maximum of €10,000.

Kerry County Council may submit 5 applications to the Department for consideration and one of these must be for an Irish Historic House in private ownership. Completed application forms and particulars for the above scheme shall be received by Kerry County Council no later than 5pm on Wednesday 31st January, 2018.
