Wood of Life Exhibition at Castleisland Library

Over the next two weeks, Castleisland Library will host the “Wood of Life” Exhibition, an interactive, hands on display on the social, economic and environmental importance of the world’s forests.

It will be open from Tuesday, 21st to Friday, 31st October during Library opening hours, Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm.

The “Wood of Life” Exhibition has very broad appeal and impacts many social disciplines.  It is particularly suitable for pupils from Fifth and Sixth class primary and students in the junior and senior cycle post-primary. Transition year students, woodwork and construction studies students and students of architecture/biology/science/geography are also encouraged to explore the exhibition.

The exhibition comprises of a series of large formal display panels together with hundreds of wood samples and medieval plants from around the world.
