The Higher Education Grants section of Kerry County Council processes, awards and arranges payment of higher education grants in line with the annual Higher Education Grants Scheme published by the Department of Education & Science. The annual scheme lays down certain conditions which must be fulfilled in order to be eligible for a grant.
A Student must be undertaking an approved full-time undergraduate course of at least 2 years in duration or a full-time postgraduate course (within Ireland) of at least 1 year duration at an approved third level institution. A list of approved courses is outlined in the annual scheme.
The application form and the annual Higher Education Grant Scheme for the 2011/2012 academic year will only be available to download from the following website:
Completed applications for University entrants should be returned to the Higher Education Grants Section of Kerry County Council by the 31st of August 2011.
Kerry County Council, may however accept an application which is not received on time and may, at its discretion, treat such application as if it had been received on time.
