Section Housing The Housing Dept offices are located at Co. Buildings, Rathass, Tralee, Co.Kerry.

Kerry County Council’s role as Housing Authority is to ensure that every household has a dwelling suitable to its needs at a price or rent it can afford. Generally speaking this is achieved by the direct provision of dwellings for letting to those in need of accommodation and by assisting people to provide or improve their own homes by means of loans and grants.

The Council makes every effort to publicise the range of schemes on offer, however the onus rests with the individual to make the initial contact. Any individual who has an interest in the Housing Services on offer should contact the Housing Department, Kerry County Council, Áras an Chontae, Tralee. Many of the schemes involve the completion of an application form and formal application procedure. In discharging its Housing function, Kerry County Council will endeavour to promote the concepts of sustainable development and social inclusion.

Opening Hours are 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, including lunch-time.
