Motor Tax Postal Applications
Currently the Kerry Motor Tax Office has received a large amount of motor tax postal applications and renewals, as well as queries in relation to changes in the Driver Licence application process. This has led to delays in dealing with these applications. It has also led to an increased number of phone calls to the Motor Tax Office, where customers are experiencing difficulties in contacting staff by telephone.
Additional resources have been assigned to deal with the backlog of postal applications. As a result we expect to have it cleared by next week.
Following this, we then expect to return to our normal two to three working day turnaround for postal applications.

Kerry County Council apologises for the delay that people may be experiencing in getting their motor tax and driving licence documentation back to them.
