TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

SECTION 75 OF ROADS ACT 1993

Ring of Beara Cycle Kenmare

 

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, and the Temporary Closing of Roads Regulations 1994, Kerry County Council is proposing to close to public traffic the roads/streets/car parking bays as detailed below in order to facilitate the holding of the Ring of Beara Cycle Kenmare on Saturday, 27 May 2017.

 

N71, Kenmare

Road Closed:  N71 - starting from Henry Street Junction and finishing at the Park Street Junction.

Closing Times: From 5.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. on Saturday, 27 May

Henry Street, Kenmare

Road Closed: Henry Street                                

Closing Times: From 5.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. on Saturday, 27 May

(Motorists are advised, at the above times, that there will be no access to Henry Street from New Road.  East Park Lane will operate as a one-way traffic diversion to facilitate Main Street traffic.  All other traffic are advised to use the Kenmare Eastern Relief Road via Park Street and Railway Road)

Road Closed: R573 Coast Road from Barrack Cross (R571/R573 Junction) to Direen Cross (R571/R573 Junction)

Closing Times: 8.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. on Saturday 27 May 2017

(Motorists are advised, at the above times, to use the R571)

Kenmare Parking Restrictions

The following car parking spaces will be closed as follows:

From 3.00 p.m. on Friday, 26 May to 8.00 p.m. on Saturday, 27 May

All car parking bays on both sides of Henry Street.

From 6.00 p.m. on Friday, 26 May to 8.00 p.m. on Saturday, 27 May

All car parking bays on both sides of N71 starting from Henry Street Junction and finishing at the Park Street Junction.

All car parking bays on both sides of Park Street and East Park Lane.

Any person having an objection to this proposal should lodge same, in writing, with the Administrative Officer, Operations, Capital Infrastructure and Safety Department, Kerry County Council, County Buildings, Tralee, County Kerry not later than 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 9 May 2017.
