Temporary Closing of Roads - Rose of Tralee Festival 2017

KERRY COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

SECTION 75 OF ROADS ACT 1993

 

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, and the Temporary Closing of Roads Regulations 1994, Kerry County Council is proposing to close the streets as detailed below in order to facilitate the holding of the 2017 Rose of Tralee International Festival.

 The Square, Bridge Street,The Mall,Denny Street,Lower Castle Street R875 , Lower Ashe Street and Courthouse Lane

From 7.00 p.m. on Friday, 18th August to 1.00 a.m. on Saturday, 19th August

From 12.00 noon on Saturday, 19th August to 2.00 a.m. on Sunday, 20th August

From 11.30 a.m. on Sunday, 20th August to 2.00 a.m. on Monday, 21st August

From 8.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 22nd August to 2.00 a.m. on Wednesday, 23rd August

To facilitate the Rose of Tralee International Festival – Public Entertainment

Rolling Closures: Dan Spring Road, Cloonbeg Terrace / Clonmore, Deans Lane, Boherbue R875, Upper Castle Street R875

From 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. on Saturday, 19th August

Rolling Closures: Brewery Road, Oakpark Road R878, Edward Street R874

From 2.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. on Sunday, 20th August

Full Closure: Upper Ashe Street (East Side only)              

From 10.00 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 22nd August

To facilitate the Rose of Tralee International Festival  - Parades

Full Closures: Ashe Street (East Side only)  R556             

From 12.30 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. on Sunday, 20th August

Rolling Closures: Dan Spring Road, Basin Road N86, Basin View Road R874, O’Rahilly Villas Road, Strand Street, Matt Talbot Road, Caherslee Road R551, Bracker O’Regan Road, Killeen Road, Oakpark Road N69, North Circular Road R874.

From 12.00 noon to 1.30 p.m. on Sunday, 20th August

To facilitate the Rose of Tralee International Festival - 10K Run

A traffic diversion system will operate on the main approaches to the town.

Any person having an objection to this proposal should lodge same, in writing, with the Administrative Officer, Operations, Capital Infrastructure and Safety Department, Kerry County Council, County Buildings, Tralee, County Kerry not later than 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 25 July 2017.
