Road Works Programme 2013
Maintenance & Improvement of National, Regional & Local Roads
The Roads Programme for 2013 has been prepared, having regard to grant allocations provided by the National Roads Authority, and by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, as well as funding allocated in the 2013 Budget from the Council’s own resources. The grant allocations account for over 89% of the funding required for the delivery of this programme.
The total sum available for road works in 2013 is €40,616,092, which does not include Public Lighting or Administration. This is an overall decrease of €21,801,527 from the 2012 allocation.
The sum available for national roads is €22,639,553 and the non-national allocation is €13,809,639. The balance of the funding, €4,166,900 is provided from the Council’s own resources.
