Due to the weather conditions over the past few weeks, large potholes have appeared on major and local roads around the county. In addition to localised flooding on roads around the county, there are still some local roads with patches of ice, and extreme caution is advised.
The N22 between Killarney and Ballyvourney is closed at Glenflesk due to flooding on the road. Traffic coming from Killarney is advised to detour at the Lissivigeen Roundabout and use the N72 via Barraduff and Rathmore, and the R582 Millstreet-Macroom road to rejoin the N22 at Macroom. Traffic coming from Cork is advised to take the same route.
The Metal Bridge in Currow is closed due to flooding.
The road from Rathbeg Cross to Aunaskirtaun Cross in Rathmore is also closed.
The R570 road from Glenflesk Church to Knockanes junction, Headford is closed due to flooding.
The L3009 Gneeveguilla to John Gow’s Cross, Rathmore is closed due to flooding.
The Ballyhar to Firies road between Ballybrack Cross and Aghadoe Cross is closed to traffic.
Kerry County Council is also asking the public to take extreme care on the following roads and to avoid if possible.

On a section of the N70 on the Cahirciveen side of Kells Post Office, the surface is cracking and is in a dangerous condition. Signage and traffic lights have been erected in this area and traffic is advised to travel with care until repairs are carried out tomorrow.
There is flooding around the Caherdaniel area. Roads passable, but caution required.
The Sneem to Kenmare road between Blackwater Bridge and Tahilla Church is closed until further notice.
At the Loo Bridge, Kilgarvan there is water on the road, but it is passable with caution
