Tralee Town Centre Works

As part of the TraleeActiveTravelTown project, which involves a €1.7 million investment in a rejuvenated town centre, significant works will continue on Denny Street and The Mall over the coming weeks.

From Wednesday, 3 May, The Mall will be fully closed to traffic

The closure of the Mall is necessary to allow for the construction of improvements including a new paved road surface, improved footpaths and a more pedestrian-friendly environment as well as providing for the safety of customers and visitors during its construction. The works are scheduled to be completed by 21 November 2017.

  • Full pedestrian access will be maintained to all shops and businesses
  • Taxi rank at The Mall will move permanently to Abbey Court (beside Boots Pharmacy)
  • Deliveries to businesses will be facilitated via The Square
  • Tralee People’s Bus will be facilitated at Maine Street/Market Square

From Monday, 22 May, a two-way traffic flow will commence on Denny Street
