TRALEE TOWN CENTRE WORKS – IMPORTANT NOTICE
As part of the TraleeActiveTravelTown project, which involves a €1.7 million investment in a rejuvenated town centre, significant works will continue on Denny Street and The Mall over the coming weeks.
From Wednesday, 3 May, The Mall will be fully closed to traffic
The closure of the Mall is necessary to allow for the construction of improvements including a new paved road surface, improved footpaths and a more pedestrian-friendly environment as well as providing for the safety of customers and visitors during its construction. The works are scheduled to be completed by 21 November 2017.
From Monday, 22 May, a two-way traffic flow will commence on Denny Street
During this period between 3 May to 22 May, there will be no vehicular access to The Mall and traffic diversions will be in place to allow access to Denny Street as follows:
From north/west, divert via North Circular Road, Edward Street and onto Castle Street
From south/east, divert via Dan Spring Road and Moyderwell and onto Castle Street

22 May 2017 – Two-way traffic flow commences on Denny Street
Access from Prince’s Street/Ivy Terrace to Denny Street
The Mall remains closed to traffic for ongoing works
The town centre will remain fully open for business
Signage will be in place advising motorists of diversions
