Hazardous Household Waste

Do You have Hazardous Waste in your Home?
‘Yes’ is the most probable answer to that question.
Many household items that are in everyday use are hazardous and left over product and packaging should be disposed of properly and NEVER placed in your wheelie bin.

Examples of Household Hazardous Waste:-

  • OIL BASED PAINTS/THINNERS (water based paints are not recycled)
  • AEROSOLS
  • CLEANING AGENTS/BLEACHES
  • WASTE ENGINE OIL
  • WEED KILLERS AND OTHER PESTICIDES
  • ALL TYPES OF BATTERIES
  • FLUORESCENT LIGHT TUBES

Dispose of the above hazardous waste carefully at your local Waste & Recycling Centres. Please ensure that all Household Hazardous Waste is presented for disposal in its original container.
