Notice is hereby given that in compliance with the Roads Act, 1993, Section 75 and the Temporary Closing of Roads Regulations, 1994, Kerry County Council is proposing to close to public traffic the roads described hereunder to facilitate the holding of the Killarney Historic Stages Rally on Saturday, 7th December 2013.
SS1 & SS4: Molls Gap
Road closures from 07.00 to 14:00
National Secondary road: N71
Starting 100m beyond the entrance to Muckross House via Galway’s Bridge, Molls Gap and finishing at Carraig East.
SS2 & SS5: Beallaghbeama
Road closures from 08.00 to 11:00 and 11:50 to 14:50
Regional and Local roads: R-568, L-7545, L-4047 and L-3502
Starting at the Blackwater Bridge via Maulcallee Cross to the R568 at Geahra Bridge Cross, Gearha Cross via Tooreenafersha and Beallaghbeama Gap and finishing at Shronahiree More.
SS3 & SS6: Kilgobnet
Road closures from 09:00 to 11:45 and 12:45 to 15:30
Local roads: L-7511, L-11745, L-11746, L-4039, L-7514, L-7512, L-2038, L-4039, L-11752, L-7512 and L-11753
Starting at Shanacashel Crossroads to Blackstones Bridge to Drom East, Bunglasha North, Lough Beg to Quaybaun Crossroads and finishing at Tooreenasliggaun Cross.
SS7 & SS8: Coolick
Road closures from 14.10 to 19:00
Local roads: L-7009, L-7010, L-2033, L-7015, L-3009 and L-7034
Starting at Scart Cross (Ed Kilcummin) to Killeagh South Cross, Rossanean Cross to Castleisland Cross, Coolick School Cross to Knocklibede Cross, Creamery Cross at Cockhill to Clashnagarrane Cross, Kilcummin Village, Rahanane and finishing with the junction at Mastergeeha.
The Gleneagle Hotel will be used as a SERVICE AREA.
In addition all adjoining public roads will be closed for a distance of 200m from each junction with the above routes.
Any person having an objection to this proposal should lodge same with the Administrative Officer, Roads, Transportation & Safety Department, Áras an Chontae, Tralee, Co. Kerry not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday, 12th November 2013.
