TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS
SECTION 75 OF ROADS ACT 1993

KILLARNEY HISTORIC STAGES RALLY

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, and the Temporary Closing of Roads Regulations 1994, Kerry County Council has decided to close to public traffic the roads / car park /street described hereunder to facilitate the holding of the Killarney Historic Stages Rally on Saturday, 2 December 2017.

SS1 & SS3: Molls Gap
Road closures Times: from 07:00 to 13:00
National Secondary Road: N71
Starting 100m beyond the entrance to Muckross House via Galway’s Bridge, Molls Gap and finishing at Carrig East.

SS2 & SS4: Beallaghbeama
Roads Closed: L7545, R568, L4047 and L3502
Road Closing Times: from 07:50 to 13:50
Starting at Blackwater Bridge to the R568 at Gearha Bridge Cross to Gearha South Cross via Tooreennafersha, Beallaghbeama Gap and finishing at Shronahiree More.

SS5 & SS7: Caragh Lake
Roads Closed: L4014, L4017, L4018 and L4020
Road Closing Times: from 11:10 to 17:30
Starting at Shanacashel Cross Roads via Blackstones Bridge to Drom East, Bunglasha North, Lough Beg to Quaybaun Crossroads and finishing at Tooreenasliggaun Cross.

SS6 & SS8: Rockfield
Road Closing Times: from 14:30 to 19:00
Local roads: L8002, L8003, L11008, L7039, L11009, L11007, L8001, L11016
From the Junction on the main Castlemaine to firies road at Rusheen via Ardywanig to the junction near keelties, right at Rockfield and and left at the next junction to Ballybrack (to Flynns Forge) turn right over the Bridge and Immediate left to the next turn right and finish at Faha

In addition all adjoining public roads will be closed for a distance of 200m from each junction with the above routes.

The car parking section of Lewis Road Car Park will be used as Parc Ferme and will be unavailable for parking purposes from 12 noon on Thursday, 30 November to 9.00 p.m. on Saturday, 2 December 2017.

Main Street, Killarney from ‘Christies Corner’ to Market Cross will be closed from 6.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. on Friday, 1 December 2017 for the holding of a ceremonial start.
