Creative Ireland Programme
Creative Ireland is a culture-based programme designed to promote individual, community and national wellbeing. The core proposition is that participation in cultural activity drives personal and collective creativity, with significant implications for individual and societal wellbeing and achievement.
Creative Ireland Kerry, based at the Arts Office at Kerry County Council is a programme which supports and communicates Kerry’s unique creative sector. It resources and values the central role of creativity across all sectors of society and works to promote a greater cultural, social and economic impact in the county. It is underpinned by public consultation and research which took place in 2017. An ambitious and innovative 5-year Culture and Creativity Strategy (2018-2022) has been developed for Kerry in consultation with local artists, creatives, cultural and heritage organisations, community groups, the creative industries, centres of education and schools. The strategy aims to provide meaningful opportunities for citizens and local communities to engage with the programme and to develop pathways to enhanced creativity at local and county level. The Strategy is available to download at the link below. For more information about Creative Ireland see https://creative.ireland.ie/en/creative-communities/kerry
