Ballylongford Town Centre Health Check

Kerry County Council have engaged consultants to carry out a comprehensive Town Centre Health Check and Implementation Plan for the town of Ballylongford.
Town Centre Health Checks provide a baseline study, to help assess and drive the future development of the town centre. It will build on previous studies carried out. The work of the Town Centre Health Check will include:
- Urban Design Analysis (includes qualitative & quantitative methodologies of analysis):
- Historical mapping
- Morphology (including an analysis of morphological changes overtime)
- Urban block analysis
- Streets analysis (including an analysis on street enclosure)
- The Heritage Councils- 15 step Collaborative Town Centre Health Check Programme:

- SCOT analysis- Strengths, Challenges, Opportunities and Threats.
- Community input in the form of a survey and public consultation workshop.
Community Engagement – Have Your Say!
A key part of this process is community involvement. To encourage local input a community survey has been developed by Kerry County Council. This survey has been designed to gather your insights and ideas on how best improve the town of Ballylongford and enhance community life.
