Castleisland Town Centre First Masterplan and Public Realm Plan

Kerry County Council have appointed ARUP Consultants, to deliver a tailored Town Centre First Masterplan for Castleisland which will incorporate a comprehensive Public Realm Plan. The Masterplan will set out a clear strategy for the future development and revitalisation of Castleisland Town. Kerry County Council received grant funding under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme from the Department of Rural and Community Development (DRCD) which will support the initiative.

The Masterplan will explore and address the social, economic, cultural, and environmental opportunities and challenges facing the town. These will be integrated into a cohesive strategy of interventions, proposals and projects aimed at supporting the revitalisation of the town centre. The ultimate goal is to make Castleisland an even more attractive place to live, work and visit, while fostering a strong sense of community and pride in the town’s unique character and heritage at the heart of Sliabh Luachra and at the Gateway to Kerry.
