This report has been prepared for the June Council Meeting and includes an update on housing delivery in the county and details of the Energy Efficiency Retrofit Programme and Strategic Planned Maintenance Programme for housing stock. An update on the South Kerry Greenway is included. Cruinniú no nÓg took place on Saturday 6th June. The Placemaking and Community Activation Grant Scheme 2026 and CLÁR Grant Scheme applications closed on 15 May, and assessment of the applications have begun. The report includes an update on works to playgrounds across the county and details on the Blue Flag and Green Coast Awards 2026. An update on the progression of the Castleisland/Corca Dhuibhne MD Settlements Plan (Variation No.3) and Listowel MD Settlements Plan (Variation No.4) is also included in the report.

This Chief Executive’s report has been prepared in the context of a geopolitical environment that may have implications for the delivery of services which Kerry County Council is keeping under close review.
