Town And Village Renewal Scheme 2017
As part of the Government’s Action Plan for Rural Development, an enhanced Town and Village Renewal Scheme for 2017 will focus on improving the economic development of our rural towns and villages.
On 4th October 2017, Minister for Rural & Community Development, Michael Ring T.D., announced the towns & villages in rural Ireland who were successful in the 2017 Town & Village Renewal Scheme. A list of successful applicants can be found on The Department of Rural & Community Development website http://drcd.gov.ie/.
Clár Funding 2017
Clár (Ceantair Laga Árd-Riachtanais) is a targeted invested programme for rural areas that aims to provide funding for small infrastructural projects in areas that have experienced significant depopulation in the past. The Department of Rural & Community Development were pleased to announce that Kerry received funding for three Projects under the Clár 2017 Scheme.
Community Facilities Scheme
Kerry County Council in conjunction with the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) on behalf of the Department of Housing, Planning , Community and Local Government invited applications under the “Community Facilities Capital Scheme” to provide small scale capital grants to fund local Age friendly initiatives and projects in Kerry. An Age Friendly Community is a Community that allows people as they get older to live in security, maintain their health and participate fully in society. A total of 63 projects were allocated monies under this Scheme.
RAPID 2017 Grant Scheme
Kerry County Council in conjunction with the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) on behalf of the Department of Rural and Community Development is inviting applications for funding under the new revamped RAPID Programme under the theme Community Safety & Anti-Social Behaviour. The funding relates to Capital Projects only and is available for projects in disadvantaged urban areas which demonstrate added value and complement the actions agreed in Kerry’s Local Economic and Community Plan. Closing date for receipt of applications is Friday the 24th November.
