Cordal & Asdee Hubs to remain open
Households without power in Kerry significantly reduced.
30/012025
Due to the significantly reduced number of households in Kerry without electricity, Kerry County Council, in consultation with Kerry GAA, has stood down the majority of the Emergency Response Hubs around the county.
The Emergency Hubs in Cordal and Asdee will remain open for at least another day, to provide support for those still without power in those areas following Storm Éowyn.
“For households without electricity for the last number of days, the Emergency Response Hubs have proven to be a great place to meet, shower, charge their phone and have a cup of tea and a chat with the volunteers,” Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Cllr Breandán MaGearailt stated.
“Many thanks to everyone who organised this, particularly the Kerry Interagency Team and the Kerry GAA. It is a perfect example of communities looking after their own,” he said.
Non-emergency queries in relation to fallen trees and other roads matters can be referred to Kerry County Council on 066-7183588.
