Kerry County Council will administer grants for the conservation of buildings located within designated Architectural Conservation Areas in Listowel located at Main Street, William Street, Church Street and the Square.

The objective of the scheme is to assist the owners of properties on these streets to undertake conservation-led works necessary to secure the conservation of the structure. 

Qualifying works include external works to the front of buildings including:

a)  works necessary to make a structure weather-proof or damp-proof;
b)  conservation repair of historic joinery
c)  works necessary to conserve or repair external walls or
d)  conservation works that demonstrate positive visual impact to the street
