Kerry County Council’s Commitment to Accessibility
Kerry County Council is committed to mainstreaming all our services. This means that our goal is that every Department will ensure that the services they provide and manage are accessible to the whole community and that persons of all abilities can access services at the same point and in the same way.
At Kerry County Council, we are aware that even when we have done everything possible to make our services accessible, that this alone will not ensure that every person can access our services. We therefore have an Access Officer and an Inquiry Officer who individuals can contact if they need specific support or to whom they can address issues they encounter when accessing services.
If you have any comments or would like to suggest information that you feel should be included on the site, please feel free to contact us either by telephone or by using the contact details below:
To meet our Privacy and GDPR compliance objectives with regard to how Cookies are managed on our website, we are currently using a Cookie management tool for WordPress sites from Complianz. We are aware that certain website Accessibility checker software returns a high error count for our website, as these tools may read each page on the site as if cookies have not been accepted, multiplying many times what may be a once off issue for visually impaired site users. We are working on a resolve to this issue as we strive for both high privacy standards and high accessibility standards.
