The Kerry Community Awards Committee is made up of representatives from the Kerry Public Participation Network (PPN), Kerry County Council, The Kerryman, Local Development Company (NEWKD), Udarás na Gaeltachta, Credit Union & Southern Marketing Design Media.

The Kerry Community Awards celebrate and recognise the outstanding contribution made by community and voluntary groups throughout the county.

The objective of the Kerry Community Awards is to recognise the work of the community and voluntary sector that seeks to improve the Social, Economic, Cultural and Environmental quality of life in our local communities, both urban and rural. 

Kerry Community Awards are open to all community and voluntary groups based in the county, regardless of size or location.  Groups must assist, support or enrich their community in some way, either socially or economically.

2. Community Youth
3. Inclusive Community
4. Community Wellbeing
5. Arts, Culture & Heritage
6. Age Friendly Community
7. Community Achievement

Awards Winners:

Awards will be presented at a special awards ceremony in The Rose Hotel, Tralee on Thursday, October 1st

Three finalists will be selected in each category and invited to attend the awards ceremony. Category winners will receive a prize and trophy, while the overall Kerry Community Awards 2026 winner will receive additional prize money and the prestigious Kerry Community Awards Trophy.
