Kerry County Council being the designated Action Planning Authority under Statutory Instrument 549 of 2018 European Communities (Environmental Noise) Regulations 2018 has prepared a Noise Action Plan to address noise from major roads in the county with traffic flows greater than 3 million vehicles per annum. The five year strategic plan does not apply to noise from domestic activities, noise created by neighbours, noise at workplaces or noise inside a means of transport or due to military activities in military areas.
