Kerry Local Economic and Community Plan 2025-2030
The Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) is a significant document that will further the societal and economic development of the county for the period 2025-2030.  The vision of this LECP “Kerry – a sustainable, inclusive, creative, healthy, resilient economy and society” has been informed by extensive public consultation and stakeholder engagement and is underpinned by socio-economic analysis.  The consultation process undertaken ensured a collaborative, consultative, and participative approach that enabled stakeholders to contribute in a meaningful way.

The ten High-Level Goals promoted in Kerry’s LECP are aligned with the ambition and objectives established in the Kerry County Development Plan 2022-2028 and the Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy for the Southern Region.  The LECP is a multi-agency plan and includes actions contributed by a wide range of service providers. A comprehensive Implementation Plan details specific actions to assist in achieving the vision of the LECP.

The overarching ambition for this plan is that Kerry is a destination of choice to live, work and thrive. Kerry will build on its strengths as a location for investment, business and tourism.  A place that treasures its diverse communities, protects and celebrates its rich cultural and language heritage and offers excellent opportunities for all.
