It is proposed that the N70 National Secondary Road (between Caherdaniel and Castlecove) from the entrance to O’Carroll’s Cove beach, for a distance of approximately 1.3km, to a point 100m East of the junction between the N70 and Local Road L11603 will be closed for the following period:

• 24^th of November 2021 to 22^nd of December 2021, both dates inclusive, from Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 1:30pm and from 3:30pm to 6:00pm, and Saturdays from 9:30am to 12:00pm and from 12:45pm to 3:00pm

and

• 4^th of January 2022 to 16^th of March 2022, both dates inclusive, from Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 1:30pm and from 3:30pm to 6:00pm, and Saturdays from 9:30am to 12:00pm and from 12:45pm to 3:00pm

The purpose of the road closure is to facilitate the construction of the N70 Brackaharagh Road Project.

Access will remain open for emergencies, emergency vehicles, school buses and residents within the extents of the road closure.

An alternative route will be clearly signposted.  Proposed diversion routes (via Killarney/Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry), can be viewed on www.kerrycoco.ie.

The Notice of Decision incorporates amendments following consideration of submissions received in respect of the Notice of Intention.
