Notice of Intention Road Closure of the N70 at Brackaharagh (between Caherdaniel and Castlecove)

It is proposed that the N70 National Secondary Road from the entrance to O’Carroll’s Cove beach, for a distance of approximately 1.3km, to a point 100m East of the junction between the N70 and Local Road L11603 will be closed for the following period:

  • 24th of November 2021 to 22nd of December 2021, both dates inclusive, from Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 1:30pm and from 3:30pm to 7:00pm, and Saturdays from 9:30am to 3:00pm

and

  • 4th of January 2022 to 16th of March 2022, both dates inclusive, from Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 1:30pm and from 3:30pm to 7:00pm, and Saturdays from 9:30am to 3:00pm

The purpose of the road closure is to facilitate the construction of the N70 Brackaharagh Road Project.

Access will remain open for residents within the extents of the road closure and emergency vehicles. An alternative route will be clearly signposted.  Proposed diversion routes (via Killarney/Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry), can be viewed on www.kerrycoco.ie.

Any person having an objection to these proposals should lodge same, in writing, with the Administrative Officer, Kerry National Roads Office, Kerry County Council, The Island Centre, Castleisland, Co. Kerry or email to [email protected] not later than 4.00 pm on Monday 8th of November 2021.
