Enjoy Festivals

Kerry County Council is now administering Failte Ireland’s Regional Festival & Participative Events Programme.

The Festival & Participative Events Programme for County Kerry 2020 aims to support festivals and participative events that will drive domestic tourism and help to improve the visitor experience in Kerry. To be considered for funding under this Programme, Festivals must generate a minimum of 500 visitor or tourist bed nights in paid accommodation and Participative Events must generate a minimum of 800 visitor or tourist bed nights in paid accommodation. A project minimum expenditure of €10,000 must be demonstrated in the case of both festivals and participative events. Click here for full details, guidelines and application forms.

Kerry has hundreds of festivals which attract visitors to the county each year.  They vary in size from small and intimate locally-run events, to large and internationally renowned festivals run over several days.

Why not plan your holiday to incorporate a festival filled with fun and entertainment and see how the local’s like to party!
