Kerry County Council has a service contract with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) as prescribed under Section 48 of the FSAI Act, 1998. Kerry County Council is responsible for the approval, registration, and implementation of Official Controls in abattoirs and Small Meat Manufacturing Plants.
