The Local Property Tax (LPT) is an annual self-assessed tax charged on all residential properties in the State. The LPT is administered and collected by the Revenue Commissioners.<\/p>\n
A local authority may resolve to vary the basic rate of the Local Property Tax within its functional area by a maximum of +\/-15%. The local adjustment factor is the % specified in a resolution by the Council by which the basic rate of local property tax should stand varied. This means that Kerry County Council can either increase or decrease the rate of LPT in CountyKerry by up to 15% of the 2017 rate.<\/p>\n
