PRIVATE WATER WELLS: As a result of the sustained heavy rainfall over the past number of months, there is an elevated risk of contamination to drinking water sourced from wells arising primarily from overland runoff. Owners of well sources for drinking water are asked to check their wells to ensure they are adequately protected from this risk.
