Funding for Community Centres & Community Facilities

Kerry County Council is pleased to announce that grant applications are now being invited from Community Groups and Local Organisations across the county.

The new fund seeks to stimulate local economies by providing capital grants towards the improvement and upkeep of community centres, and community buildings.

The Community Enhancement Programme (CEP) Round 2, which is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development, has provided €155,358 for projects in Kerry in 2020.     

Please keep in mind that the delivery of your project must be within the confines of any COVID-19 restrictions that may be in force and that all HSE guidelines and protocols are adhered to.

Details of the type of capitals project that would receive funding under the programme are outlined in the scheme guidelines.

Community Enhancement Programme (CEP) Round 2 Application Form

A portion of this fund will be ring-fenced to provide small capital grants of €1,000 or less.  This is aimed at assisting small grassroots community projects to get off the groundThe programme can also fund or partially fund larger scale capital projects to address disadvantage. 

Applicants should be aware that the Programme may be oversubscribed.  Therefore, all applications fulfilling the conditions may not be successful or may be allocated a lesser amount.
