Roadworks as part of a €145,000 upgrade of a section of Lewis Road in Killarney on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week will require the closure of the road between the junction with St Anne’s Road and College Street from 8am to 7pm daily.

Following the resumption of many roadworks projects as part of the reopening of the economy and society, the works are being completed as part of the Killarney Municipal District Schedule of Works for 2020.

Diversions will be in place daily on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and will be clearly signposted.

The works will involve planing out the existing surface of the road, excavation, and repair and resurfacing of the road. The public footpath will remain open to pedestrians during the period of works which are being completed ahead of the busier summer season.
