The Kerry County Development Plan (2022-2028) is a vitally important strategic document which informs and guides the development of the county over the next six years.

The Plan is the single most important framework which provides for the improvement of the lives of all of our citizens and the county of Kerry over the coming years. It provides a blueprint for the economic, social, environmental, and cultural growth of Kerry in a progressive and sustainable way.

This Plan derives from and belongs to the people of Kerry. Throughout the extensive public consultation process which greatly influenced the final version of the Plan, members of the public and community organisations and representatives were afforded the opportunity to contribute to and influence its contents.

The elected members of Kerry County Council as well as the management of the local authority listened carefully to people’s views in a spirit of a mutual ambition to progress the development of Kerry in a forward-looking and sustainable way. Councillors and management are fully committed to the implementation of the ambitious objectives in this Plan and will work together to ensure that Kerry continues to grow and develop as an attractive place in which to live, work and do business.
