Kerry County Council Elections 2024

The local elections will take place on Friday, 7 June 2024, by order of the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Mr Darragh O’Brien TD, on 5 April 2024. Polling will take place at polling stations across the country between 7am and 10pm.

Elections to the European Parliament will also be held on the same day. Voters will therefore be presented with two ballot papers, one for the election of County Council members and the other for the election of members of the European Parliament.

The County Council and its Returning Officer are responsible for the elections to Kerry County Council, including candidate nominations, preparation of the ballot papers, the counting of votes and the declaration of the local election results.
