The electoral registration process is provided for in the Electoral Acts 1992 to 2022 and was amended by the Electoral Reform Act 2022

People can use www.checktheregister.ie to:

• register to vote;
• check if you are already registered, including checking your polling station;
• update their existing record with details such as PPSN, date of birth and Eircode; or make any changes to your name or address.

Hardcopy forms are also available for collection at the Register of Electors Office, Kerry County Council, Rathass, Tralee.

The closing date for completed applications from new voters (or changes to existing details) is Monday, 20 May 2024.

The closing date for applications for Special/Postal Votes is Saturday 11 May 2024.
